The Treehouse Creative Grand Opening
There are moments in life that feel surreal, where you look around and at each other and think, Did we really just do this?
Our Grand Opening at The Treehouse Creative was exactly that.
Just two weeks before opening day, this space was little more than a dream, a wild idea, and a whole lot of “What if we actually did this?” conversations between us. Two slightly creative, slightly chaotic humans with a shared vision of building something different, a place where creativity, wellness, community, and connection could exist under one roof.
And somehow… in just fourteen days… it all came to life.
The morning of our Grand Opening started exactly how we had hoped: manic running around getting the final touches ready (naturally lol) followed by amazing vibes and good energy. We kicked things off with a beautiful yoga class led by the incredibly talented Alexandra Mosenson of Salt Gallery in Hershey and Wild & Free Power Yoga. Watching people move through the space for the very first time, with sunlight pouring through the windows, soft music playing, and peaceful energy filling the room, felt like the perfect beginning.
After yoga, guests settled into one of our very first creative experiences together: a terracotta pot painting and lavender planting class. Paintbrushes, dirt under fingernails, laughter, and tiny pots of lavender lined the tables as people relaxed, created, and simply enjoyed being together. Phil and I might have been up until the wee hours the night before, bleary-eyed and painting our example pots to show the class the different styles we were teaching.
And honestly? The vibes were everything we hoped they would be.
Warm.
Welcoming.
Creative.
Joyful.
The kind of energy that makes you exhale and think, I want to stay here awhile.
What made the day even more meaningful wasn’t just the classes or the beautiful space, it was the people.
The Treehouse Creative was built on sweat, tears, caffeine, chaos, late nights, and a frankly unreasonable amount of fairy lights, foliage, and moss. (Seriously… so much moss!)
In the span of two weeks, we somehow built a 10-foot indoor tree (overanalyzing every branch and leaf placement), installed a 7-foot moss wall, transformed the loft into a moody, magical, creative space, and pulled together countless details that somehow, miraculously, came together beautifully in the end.
There were moments we thought, Are we absolutely insane for trying to pull this off this quickly?
The answer was probably yes.
But it was also worth it.
Because The Treehouse Creative has always been about something bigger than four walls.
Phil and I met through fitness, creativity, and a shared love for building things that bring people together. Somewhere along the way, conversations turned into ideas, ideas turned into random reels of inspiration, and inspiration turned into a vision for a space that felt different from anything else around here.
Not just another rental venue.
Not just another event space.
But a place where people could gather to create, heal, laugh, move their bodies, learn something new, celebrate milestones, host meaningful events, to unleash their inner child, or simply escape real life for a little while.
A place that felt warm.
A little magical.
A little unexpected.
A place where creativity and wellness could finally live together.
And while Phil and I may have had the crazy dream, there is absolutely no way this space would exist without the people who rallied around us.
To our family and friends who dropped everything to help glue moss to walls, build furniture, decorate, and who jumped in to teach classes, support our opening, and believe in this vision before it even fully existed, thank you.
To everyone who came to our Grand Opening, showed up with excitement, kind words, encouragement, hugs, laughter, and support—thank you.
And a very special thank you to Mike at ES&S Woodworking for creating the incredible custom Treehouse sign that helped make this dream feel real.
You know that feeling when something exists in your imagination and then suddenly it’s standing right in front of you?
That.
That was this day.
We left our Grand Opening exhausted, emotional, and completely overwhelmed in the best possible way.
Because what we realized very quickly is this:
The Treehouse isn’t really about the tree.
Or the moss wall.
Or even the beautiful aesthetic.
It’s about community.
It’s about connection.
It’s about creating a place where people feel inspired, welcomed, safe, and creatively alive.
And if opening day taught us anything, it’s that this community is something really special.
We cannot wait for more people to experience this space, attend workshops, host celebrations, take classes, rent the venue, meet new people, and create memories here.
This little dream may have started two weeks before opening day…
But somehow, it already feels like something much bigger than us.
And we’re just getting started.
